The Challenge
ADEFE Europa already had a strong visual identity in place. The challenge wasn't to build one from scratch, but to keep it alive and consistent across an organization spanning 6 countries, more than 200 annual events, and every communication touchpoint, from social media to physical event materials, without letting it fragment or lose coherence across such a wide, decentralized structure.
The Approach
Working alongside the communications team, I helped give continuity to the existing identity by applying it consistently across every format the organization needed: event design, activity materials, institutional communications, and creative content. This included designing a website built around the same solidified visual identity, and directing the organization's presence across its social media profiles and online platforms, ensuring the brand felt like one coherent voice no matter which country or channel it appeared in.
We also developed "O Semeador," the organization's own informational newspaper, giving it a dedicated visual identity built on top of ADEFE Europa's already solidified brand, extending the identity beyond digital and event materials into a recurring editorial publication.
On the content side, I implemented a content strategy built around a weekly editorial calendar and ongoing KPI analysis, which increased social media engagement by 30% (measured by interactions per publication). I designed posters and graphic materials for over 200 annual events, reinforcing the organization's visual identity across all 6 European countries it operates in. I also directed the photography and video editing for institutional publications, improving visual impact as measured by organic reach, and coordinated the publications team to ensure communication stayed consistent and aligned with each campaign's objectives.
Deliverables:
Event graphic design — posters and creative materials for over 200 annual events across 6 European countries, all built to reinforce a single, recognizable identity regardless of location
Website design — a site built around the organization's existing visual identity, giving ADEFE Europa a consistent digital home to match its physical presence
Social media content strategy — a weekly editorial calendar paired with ongoing KPI tracking, turning content creation into a structured, measurable process rather than one-off posts
Photography & video direction — leading the visual production behind institutional publications, from shooting to editing, to raise the quality and organic reach of every post
Cross-country brand consistency — ensuring every piece of communication, from Portugal to Spain, France, Belgium, Germany, and Luxembourg, felt like it came from the same organization
Team coordination — leading the publications team to keep messaging aligned with each campaign's objectives, avoiding the fragmentation that often comes with multi-country operations
Result:
+30% increase in social media engagement, measured by interactions per publication, driven by a structured weekly editorial calendar and consistent KPI analysis rather than sporadic posting
200+ annual events supported with dedicated graphic materials, each one reinforcing the same visual identity instead of drifting into inconsistent, one-off designs
A unified brand presence across 6 European countries (Portugal, Spain, France, Belgium, Germany, and Luxembourg), turning a geographically fragmented organization into one that communicates with a single, recognizable voice
Higher visual impact and organic reach on institutional publications, the result of dedicated photography and video direction rather than ad-hoc content production
A publications team working in sync, with messaging consistently aligned to each campaign's objectives, reducing the disconnect that typically comes with multi-country, multi-team operations
Today, the organization counts more than 5,000 members across those 6 countries, a growth this consistent brand presence and communication strategy directly contributed to, turning what was once a fragmented, multi-country structure into one cohesive, recognizable community
